Etsy Find: Art Shark Designs

My best friend just got engaged and while searching for an engagement gift, I came across these prints on Etsy. These gocco prints from Art Shark Designs are the perfect gift for them as they met in New York and lived together in Brooklyn! (I think I might snag the Seattle print for myself while I'm at it!)

Santana Row

A few weeks ago I was visiting one of my best friends in Palo Alto, CA. She has a 1-year-old son, so for a week, I got to lead the life of a baby. We mostly ate, napped, went to music class, etc... One evening, we got her parents to babysitt, so we grabbed some friends and ventured off to Santana Row in San Jose for an evening of cocktails and delicious pizza and pasta. Our first stop was cocktails at Cielo Wine Bar at Hotel Valencia. I ordered a Caipirinha at the recommendation of my friend and let me tell you, this is now my favorite cocktail. I'm usually a beer or wine drinker, but the freshness of the lime with the sweetness of the cachaça made this a refreshing treat. We then headed to dinner at Pizza Antica. This could possible be one of the best meals I have ever had. First I had the Caprese Salad (Vine-ripe Tomatoes, Housemade Mozzarella and Fresh Basil with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Aged Balsamic). Let's focus on the Housemade Mozzarella portion of this...DELICIOUS! For my entree I ordered the Spaghettini with Tomato Conserva, Garlic and Basil. Again, DELICIOUS! Although stuffed, we ventured across the street for dessert at Cocola Bakery. If you are ever in the San Jose area, I highly recommend you head over to Santana Row for shopping, drinks, and dinner!
