Project Runway.

I finally got around to watching last week's episode of Project Runway and I was so sad to see that my favorite designer was sent home. Although Amy's outfits last week were worthy of being Auf'd, many of her past designs have been favorites of mine.

same look...a lot less...

While perusing Nordstrom.com, I came across this lovely little cardigan. It reminded me of the Field Game Cardigan from Anthropologie, but was a lot less expensive. There is only a size small left online, but if that's your size, I suggest you snag this adorable sweater.

Kate Spade, I love you.

Although this is a lot of necklace and would probably take over my whole body, I love it.

good-bye summer....

Does this overwhelm you? Because it does me...

I have been putting my summer events in my calendar and realized that I can already kiss summer goodbye. Although these events are all very special and will be very fun and memorable, I think the summer is just going to fly by...

Here it goes...in May I am getting married. In June, we will be going on our honeymoon and later in the month I am a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding in Friday Harbor. Let's not forget about my birthday in June as well. In July, my mom and step-dad are having a reception for us and my brother (who's getting married in August) for their friends and family that aren't invited to our weddings. The following weekend, I will be going to Montana for a friend's wedding. Also, in July we will be going to Spokane for Kenny's ten year high school reunion as well as a wedding reception for his friends and family who can't make it to the wedding. In August, I am a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding. Kenny's birthday is also in August, so we will have to celebrate that. And, in September we are attending our 5th (including our own) and final wedding of the summer...

I'm tired just writing this...

wedding planning update...

Well, I'm happy to report that lately I have been very into wedding planning. I'm not sure what it is. I don't know if I like the little details more than the big ones, or maybe it's just that it is getting closer, or perhaps it's the fact that I am not being asked a million questions and just deciding little things on my own. Either way, I'm liking it.

My Wedding Shower is this weekend, which might be kicking off the wedding bug inside me, but not being able to plan or know ANYTHING about it has made me think more about the details of the actual wedding. Here, I talked about the dresses that I bought for myself and my mom, and lately my mom and I have been looking around for a dress for her to wear to the wedding. Last week we mailed the invitations and people have started RSVPing on our website. I think all of these things have sparked something inside of me. I have always been excited for the wedding, but I now feel the girly giddiness that I was waiting for.

I just ordered some milk glass flower vases on Esty from Violets And Grace ,which will hold the bridesmaid's and my bouquets on the cake table during the reception. I also found a beautiful milk glass cake plate that will be a perfect match. I think this table will be perfect with the vases, boquets, the cake and cake plate!

Wedding Shower Dresses!!

My wedding shower is coming up in just over a week and I am SO excited! I had told myself that I wouldn't buy a new dress, and would just wear one that I already have (since I tend to buy dresses for events and not wear them again...) Well, I had been pretty successful until I went to Anthropologie last night to return something and stumbled upon their sale section. I ended up purchasing this beautiful spring dress that I can't wait to wear.

I also was helping my mom pick out an outfit the other night and we just couldn't find anything in her closet that we felt was mother-of-the-bride wedding shower appropriate. She said that she would try and go shopping in the next few days and find something, but unlike me, she doesn't really love to shop. Since her birthday is the day after my shower, I decided that I would buy her a new dress for her bday. I ended up purchaing this dress from Nordstrom and I think it is perfect.

Spring Shopping List...

Yesterday, Kenny asked me if I was feeling like I needed new clothes because I had been talking about shopping all weekend. I explained to him that it is almost spring and of course I need new clothes!!

He didn't understand...

Anyways, here are some items I have on my spring shopping list...

(i'm dying for these in grey, but couldn't find a picture online)

(this is at the top of my wish list)

(this dress would be perfect with a cardigan or blazer for work and so easy and cute for the weekends)

(this is WAY out of my price range but i think it is beautiful)

(how cute are these?)

From J.Crew:

(i tried this on over the weekend and am in LOVE with it)

(i just love dresses for spring/summer)

(and this i'm going to need in every color it comes in. so simple and sheek.)

(i'm just waiting for this baby to go on sale!)

(i love the watercolor look of this)

what lights me up...

Meaghan tagged me in her Happiness post and asked me to create a list of my own. This really got me thinking and excited to start making my list...

It is REALLY hard to contain this list.

Here it goes:

Kenny (duh.) - I love being in the presence of Kenny. He makes me feel happy all the time and I feel that I want to be a better person when I am with him. I love it when I think about him and smile to myself about how much I love him and how excited I am to marry him.

(love him)

Lacrosse - I have been playing lacrosse for 9 years (wow. time has flown.) and coaching for 4. I have played sports my entire life and growing up I tried every sport I could. It wasn't until I was 17 that I started playing lacrosse and knew I had finally found my sport (thank god because running cross-country was getting old!) Coaching lets me share my love of lacrosse with so many other players. I love working with girls to become better players and help grow their passion for the sport.

(i play defense. that's me #16)

Yoga - I have been struggling with back, neck, hip, leg pain since I was in high school. I also am very impatient and get anxiety easily. I have tried yoga in the past, but it was always hard for me because I felt that it was too slow and I was impatient and watching the clock through the whole class. Recently, I have forced myself to push through Yoga classes 2 times a week and I am now in love with it. My back feels so much better when I am consistent and I actually find myself looking forward to class and sad when I have to miss it. It is also teaching me to relax and calm myself when I feel overwhelmed.

Shopping - I love clothes.

Internet Friends - Don't pay too much attention that I have Internet Friends on my list and not my "real" friends. I love all of my friends and family and they are definitely at the top of my list, but I wanted to touch on how much I have loved diving into the world of blogging and the internet. I love to see how people we have never even met before are always there for their internet friends. I am always touched when someone writes about a life dilema on their blog and their readers are full of support.

My Little Sister - My little guppy means everything to me. When she is sad, I am sad. I love just being with her and spending time with her eating and catching up on trashy TV when she is home from school.

(here we are in New York on our mother/daughters trip last May)

My Wedding - Although my wedding can cause me a lot of stress, I am SO excited to marry Kenny and begin our life together.

Noah's Twisted Bagels - I love bagels and bread and anything in the carb family really. During a recent Sunday morning bagel trip, I discovered this delcious new concauction from Noah's Bagels. It is a double chocolate bagel twisted with a cinnamon raisin bagel. YUM!

Flowers from Pike Place Market - I love flowers. In fact, it is really one of the only things I am into for my wedding. My favorite place to get flower from is Pike Place. They are so colorful and fresh and there is something about the huge bunches wrapped in brown paper that makes them extra special.

The View as I drive to the hill where I live on a clear winter morning. Let me just say I can't help but love where I live when I'm driving to work in the morning and can see Lake Washington and the Downtown Seattle skyline surrounded by the Cascade Mountains. It's the most spectacular view.
