christmas with the towners...

kenny and i spend every christmas in spokane with his family. and even though i am not christian, i find myself always looking forward to spokane for christmas. i really enjoy spending time with his family and seeing kenny get excited about going to zips. although hard in every other way, it is rather convenient to have an interfaith relationship during this time of year. we never have to choose between families for the holidays. hanukkah with mine and christmas in spokane. settled.
one thing that i have been thinking about lately is that i am curious to see how things change once we are married. they will no longer be kenny's parents, but my mother and father in-law and brother and sister in-law. will our relationships and interactions be different? or, after 5 plus years together, will they stay as they have currently developed? while i am writing this, i am sitting by the christmas tree. this year, kenny's mom got an ornament for each person in the family. here they are for your viewing pleasure... ken and karen (kenny's mom and dad) suzanne (kenny's sister) me kenny steven (kenny's brother) this post is kinda all over the place, but that's what it is like in my head sometimes, so i thought i would share my topic jumping with you. wherever you are or whatever you celebrate, i hope you are having a nice time and have a happy holidays and happy new year.
